Hotel Mongolia

Hotel Mongolia (Mongolian: Монгол Шилтгээн, Mongol Shiltgeen) is a hotel in the form of a mock castle near Gachuurt village, in the Bayanzürkh district of Ulan Bator, Mongolia. It claims to be the only resort hotel in the country. Built in 2003, it is surrounded by a fortress wall with gates on the 4 sides and towers at the corners. Inside the fortress are Asian style houses and yurts, which serve as hotel rooms. There is a restaurant in the central "palace".

Voice of Mongolia

Voice of Mongolia is the official international broadcasting station of Mongolia. The Voice Of Mongolia is the country's only overseas broadcasting service and is operated by Mongolian National Broadcaster, a public service broadcaster of the Mongolian government. Short-wave international broadcasting in Mongolia dates back over 40 years. The first broadcast in September, 1964 was a half hour transmission in the Mongolian and Chinese, beamed to China.

Gobi Desert

The Gobi is a large desert region in Asia. It covers parts of northern and northwestern China, and of southern Mongolia. The desert basins of the Gobi are bounded by the Altai Mountains and the grasslands and steppes of Mongolia on the north, by the Hexi Corridor and Tibetan Plateau to the southwest, and by the North China Plain to the southeast. The Gobi is most notable in history as part of the great Mongol Empire, and as the location of several important cities along the Silk Road.

Manjusri Monastery

Manjusri Monastery (Mongolian: Манзушри Хийд, Manzushir Khiid; alternately translated as Manzushir) is a former Buddhist monastery established in 1733 and destroyed by Mongolian communists in 1937. Its ruins are located approximately 15 kilometers (as the crow flies, 43 kilometers by car) south of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar on the south slope of Bogd Khan Uul mountain.
