Hotel Mongolia

Hotel Mongolia (Mongolian: Монгол Шилтгээн, Mongol Shiltgeen) is a hotel in the form of a mock castle near Gachuurt village, in the Bayanzürkh district of Ulan Bator, Mongolia. It claims to be the only resort hotel in the country. Built in 2003, it is surrounded by a fortress wall with gates on the 4 sides and towers at the corners. Inside the fortress are Asian style houses and yurts, which serve as hotel rooms. There is a restaurant in the central "palace".

Voice of Mongolia

Voice of Mongolia is the official international broadcasting station of Mongolia. The Voice Of Mongolia is the country's only overseas broadcasting service and is operated by Mongolian National Broadcaster, a public service broadcaster of the Mongolian government. Short-wave international broadcasting in Mongolia dates back over 40 years. The first broadcast in September, 1964 was a half hour transmission in the Mongolian and Chinese, beamed to China.

Artificial Lake Castle

The Artificial Lake Castle was built in 1969, when the National Amusement Park was established in the centre of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. It is surrounded by an artificial lake and fortress walls in an eastern-Asian style. Inside the walls is a three-storey building. There are three watch towers. Since its establishment, an Ethnographic Museum operated in it until the mid-2000s. The castle has been rebuilt from 2010 assuming an appearance of a Western castle.

National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia

The National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia (colloquially called Ulaanbaatar Opera House) opened on 15 May 1963 and made its opening ceremony on 18 May 1963 with Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. The repertoire includes classical and national ballet and opera. The beginnings of a contemporary professional theatre in Mongolia were laid down with the establishment of a National Central Theatre in 1931, which was an extension of the Folk Stadium which was inaugurated in 1927.

Ulan Bator

Ulan Bator /ˌuːlɑːn ˈbɑːtər/, or Ulaanbaatar, is the capital and the largest city of Mongolia. An independent municipality, the city is not part of any province, and its population as of 2008 is over one million. Located in north central Mongolia, the city lies at an elevation of about 1,310 metres in a valley on the Tuul River. It is the cultural, industrial, and financial heart of the country.
