Narayani Zone is named after the Narayani River which is located on the western border of the zone, separating it from Gandaki and Lumbini zones. Daman, Nepal

Daman is a village in the central part of Nepal, located in the district of Makwanpur. It is halfway between Kathmandu and Hetauda at 2320m. Daman on the Tribhuvan Highway has probably the finest view of the Himalayas extending on a good day from Dhaulagiri in the west to Everest in the east. The Everest Panorama Resort there has a helipad. Daman is a small village situated at an altitude of 2320 metres and 100 kilometres southwest of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
