Chumig Gyatsa

Chumig Gyatsa is one of the 24 Buddhist Tantric places. Chumig Gyatsa means 'Hundred Waters' in Tibetan. It is the local name for the pilgrimage site Muktinath, a sacred place both for Hindus as well as the Buddhists, located at an altitude of 3,710 meters, at the foot of the Thorung La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas), Mustang district, Nepal.

Mustang District

Mustang District, a part of Dhaulagiri Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Jomsom as its headquarters, covers an area of 3,573 km² and has a population (2001) of 14,981. The district straddles the Himalayas and extends northward onto the Tibetan plateau where the former Lo Kingdom of Mustang is found, comprising the northern two-thirds of the Mustang District.

Annapurna Circuit

The Annapurna Circuit is a popular name for a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where the motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. The trek rises to an altitude of 5,400m on the Thorung La pass, touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau.

Thorong La

Thorong La or Thorung La is a summit pass located 5,416 metres above sea level in the Damodar Himal, north of the Annapurna Himal, in central Nepal. It connects the village of Manang (3540 m), in the Manang district to the east, with the temple of Muktinath (3800 m) and the village of Ranipauwa (3700 m), to the west in the Mustang district. It is regularly used by local traders.

Jomsom Airport

Jomsom Airport is an airport serving Jomsom, a town in the Mustang District of the Dhawalagiri Zone in Nepal. It is known as one of the world's most dangerous airfields and is a particular favourite of flight simulator fans. It serves as the gateway to Muktinath temple, which is a popular pilgrimage for Nepalis and Indians.
