Sankhuwasabha District

Sankhuwasabha District (Nepali: सङ्खुवासभा जिल्ला, a part of Kosi Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Khandbari as its district headquarters, covers an area of 3,480 km² and had a population of 159,203 in 2001 and 158,742 in 2011. Indigenous ethnics Yakkhas, Lohorung, Kulung, Rais, Gurung, Limbus, and other hill castes and ethnic groups live in this district.
