Gorkha District

Gorkha District (Nepali: गोरखा जिल्ला, a part of Gandaki Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia, and home of legendary Gurkha soldiers. The district, with Pokharithok, later known as Prithivi Narayan Nagarpalika as its district headquarters, covers an area of 3,610km² and has a population of 288,134. Jaubari, Gandaki

Jaubari is a Village Development Committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3,398 and had 658 houses in the town. It is located at the western part of Gorkha district. It is one the major hubs for education and heath in Gorkha District. Paropakar Adarsha Uccha Madhyamik Vidhalaya is located in Jaubari VDC of Gorkha.

Gandaki Zone

The Gandaki zone (Nepali: गण्डकी अञ्चल, lies in the western administrative region of Nepal. It is named as Sapta Ganadaki after the seven tributaries that make up the Gandaki River. Pokhara serves as its regional and zonal capital. It is also the birthplace of Bhanubhakta Acharya, first poet of Nepal. The Gandaki zone is home to multiple cultures which are unique in themselves. Some, like the Magar, Gurung, have made themselves famous as Gurkha people.
