Chertsey is a town in the Ashburton District, of New Zealand's South Island. It is located close to State Highway 1, which bypasses the town to the west, between Ashburton and Rakaia on the Canterbury Plains. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1920, of which 1044 were male and 876 were female.

Ashburton Aerodrome

Ashburton Aerodrome is a small airport 2 NM to the east of Ashburton township on the east coast of the South Island, New Zealand. Newmans Air operated a Christchurch to Queenstown via Ashburton service in the 1980s it allowed skiers to connect to the nearby skifield of MT Hutt. Currently no scheduled services fly into Ashburton.

Ashburton College

Ashburton College is a state coeducational secondary school located in Ashburton, New Zealand. It opened in 1965 following the merger of two Ashburton secondary schools: Ashburton High School and Hakatere College. Serving Years 9 to 13, Ashburton College has a roll of 1148 students as of November 2012.

Ashburton Domain

Ashburton Domain is a cricket ground in Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand. The first recorded match on the ground came when Ashburton Country played the touring Tasmania team in 1884. The ground later held its first major match when Canterbury played Otago in the 1980/81 Shell Cup. Three further List A matches have been held on the ground, the last of which saw Canterbury play Central Districts in the 1988/89 Shell Cup.
