Lagos State University

The Lagos State University - also known as LASU - was established in 1983 by the enabling Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, for the advancement of learning and establishment of academic excellence. Ijegun

The village of Ijegun is a northern suburban community of the Lagos Conurbation (one of the Awori District settlements), Nigeria. On May 16, 2008, Ijegun was devastated by a massive explosion, killing over 100 people, after a bulldozer struck and ignited an oil pipeline.

Olowogbowo

Olowogbowo is an area in the west of Lagos Island in Lagos, Nigeria, also known as Apongbon. The area is in the central business district. The community was founded after 1851, when freed Yoruba captives and their descendants who had been set ashore in Sierra Leone returned in successive waves to Lagos, and were granted land to settle in the Olowogbowo and Breadfruit areas of the island.
