The University of Ibadan is the oldest Nigerian university, and is located five miles (8 kilometres) from the centre of the major city of Ibadan in Western Nigeria. It has over 12,000 students. Lekan Salami Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Ibadan, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Shooting Stars FC. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 people. The stadium is sited at Adamasingba, Mokola, Ibadan. Hence, the stadium is also called Adamasingba Stadium. Shooting Stars FC are an extremely successful team and have many fans. They won the championship in 1993 and soon after went to the bottom of the ladder.
