Kusŏng is a coterminous city in central North Pyongan province, North Korea. It borders Taegwan to the north, Taechon to the east, Kwaksan and Chongju to the south, and Chonma to the north. The highest point is Chongryongsan (청룡산, 920 m). Sonchon Station

Sonchon Station is the central railway station for Sŏnch'ŏn County, North Korea. It is located on the Pyongui Line, which was formed from part of the Gyeongui Line to accommodate the shift of the capital from Seoul to Pyongyang. It was originally opened by the Japanese as Sensen Station.

Sonchon County

Sonchon County is a kun, or county, on the coast of the Yellow Sea in west-central North Pyongan province, North Korea. To the north it borders Chonma, to the east Kusong and Kwaksan, and to the west Tongrim; to the south, it borders nothing but the sea. Sonchon was reorganized in 1952, with two myŏn, or townships, being split off to form the new county of Tongrim.
