Pyongyang Sunan International Airport
Pyongyang Sunan International Airport is the main airport serving Pyongyang, capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It is located in the city's Sunan-guyŏk district, 24 kilometres from the city's centre. The airport has two runways, the larger of which (01/19) is in use while the second runway (17/35) is closed. Korea Central Zoo
The Korea Central Zoo, also referred to as the Pyongyang Central Zoo, is the national zoo of North Korea. It is located near Mt. Taesong in downtown Pyongyang. The zoo has over 5,000 wild animals, comprising a total of 650 species, and covers an area of roughly one square kilometre. It was established in April 1959 at the instruction of Kim Il-sung.
Kumsusan Palace of the Sun
Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, formerly the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, and sometimes referred to as the Kim Il-sung Mausoleum, is a building located near the northeast corner of the city of Pyongyang and serves as the mausoleum for Kim Il-sung, the founder and eternal president of North Korea, and for his son Kim Jong-il who succeeded him as the country's ruler. The palace was built in 1976 as the Kumsusan Assembly Hall, and served as Kim Il-sung's official residence.
Songam Cavern is a major tourist venue in North Korea. It consists of 17 well-lit karst caves full of picturesque stone formations including stalactites and stalagmites. The cavern is located in Kaech'ŏn-si, South Pyongan Province. Among the 70 scenic sites within the caverns are the flower gate (Kkotmun Dong), a waterfall (Phokpho Dong), an underground snowscape (Solgyong Dong) and a series of geological curiosities named Kiam Dong. The venue is lighted and air conditioned.
