Ås Station is a railway station in Ås, Norway on the Østfold Line. The station was opened on 2 January 1879 and designed by Peter A. Blix in Swiss chalet style. Vebjørn Sand Da Vinci Project
The Leonardo Bridge Project headed by Norwegian painter and artist Vebjørn Sand is one of several installations that Sand is known for in Norway. It’s a smaller-scale version of a 240 m span that Leonardo da Vinci proposed in 1502 as part of a civil engineering project for Sultan Bayezid II of Constantinople. The bridge serves as a pedestrian crossing over European route E18 in Ås, Norway. It was produced by The Leonardo Bridge Project as one of their non-profit public art projects.
