Alversund Bridge

Alversund Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning Alverstraumen, a narrow strait between the island of Radøy and Alversund, in Lindås municipality, Hordaland, Norway. The bridge was opened for traffic on June 29, 1958, and connected Radøy to the mainland. The Alversund bridge was the first toll bridge collaboration project between the municipalities in the region of Nordhordland. The bridge's main span is 198 meters and the maximum clearance to the sea is 27 metres.

Alversund

Alversund is a village in Lindås municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. Alversund was formerly a municipality. Alversund was separated from Hamre January 1, 1885 - and the annex of Seim was transferred from Hosanger to Alversund the same date. Meland was separated from Alversund October 15, 1923. The rest of Alversund was merged with Lindås January 1, 1964. Alversund is located in southwestern Lindås community.

Knarvik vidaregåande skule

Knarvik vidaregåande skule is a high school located on Knarvik in Lindås, 30 km north of Bergen in Norway. The school is one of the largest in Hordaland with over 950 pupils and ca. 150 employees. Flatøy

Flatøy is one of two smaller islands that together with the larger island Holsnøy make up the municipality Meland Kommune, in the district of Nordhordland, north of Bergen, in western Norway. Strategically located between Salhus, Holsnøy and Knarvik, it is connected to these larger communities by the three bridges: Krossnessundbrua (to Holsnøy), Hagelsund Bridge (to Knarvik), and Nordhordland Bridge to Salhus. With Nordhordlansbrua, Flatøy serves as the entry point to Norhordland.
