Eidselva

For other places named Eidselva, see Eidselva (disambiguation) Eidselva lies in Nome municipality in Telemark. It rises in Flåvatn, and runs into Norsjø in Ulefoss. The river is part of Skiensvassdraget, and an important part of the Telemark Canal. On the stretch from Ulefoss to Flåvatn there are six sluices (14 sluicegates), with a total rise of around 57 meter. In the river, there are four hydroelecric power stations: Eidsfoss, Vrangfoss, Ulefoss and Aall-Ulefoss.

Ålfoten Church

Ålfoten church (Ålfoten kyrkje) is a cog-joint wooden "long church" in Ålfoten in the municipality of Bremanger, Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The church is a part of the Davik prestegjeld in the Nordfjord deanery of the Diocese of Bjørgvin. Ålfoten churchm, which can seat 100 people, was built in the 17th century. The present church was built on or near the site of a 13th century stave church.

Eiksund Tunnel

The Eiksund tunnel is an undersea tunnel between the municipalities of Ørsta and Ulstein in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The Eiksund Bridge joins Hareidlandet island and the village of Eiksund with the nearby island Eika. The Eiksund Tunnel begins at the south end of the bridge (on Eika island) and connects it to mainland Norway. The bridge-tunnel complex serves the municipalities of Herøy, Sande, Ulstein, Hareid, Ørsta, and Volda which together have over 40,000 inhabitants.

Gjegnen

Gjegnen or Blånibba is the highest mountain in the municipality of Bremanger in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The 1,670-metre tall mountain has a topographic prominence of 1,460 metres, the fifth highest prominence in Norway. The glacier Gjegnalundsbreen lies directly to the east of the mountain. The mountain is about 10 kilometres southeast of Ålfoten in Bremanger and about 22 kilometres northwest of Sandane in neighboring Gloppen municipality.
