Romsdalshalvøya

Romsdalshalvøya, sometimes translated as the Romsdal Peninsula is a 1,560-square-kilometre peninsula located in the Romsdal district of Møre og Romsdal county in Norway. The peninsula encompasses the western Norwegian municipalities of Molde, Gjemnes, Fræna, Eide, and the northern part of Nesset. The Romsdal peninsula is connected to the mainland by a 5-kilometre wide isthmus between Eidsvåg and Eidsøra in Nesset.

Langfjorden (Møre og Romsdal)

The Langfjorden is a 35-kilometre long arm of the Romsdalsfjord which begins between the most easterly point on the island of Sekken in Molde and Okseneset in Rauma, both in Møre og Romsdal, Norway). The fjord then continues to the east to the village of Eidsvåg in Nesset. The fjord's two arms, Eresfjorden at east end and Rødvenfjorden at the west end are oriented to the south. The fjord is crossed by the Åfarnes–Sølsnes Ferry, as part of County Road 64.

Kvernesfjord

Kvernesfjord is a fjord between the municipalities of Gjemnes, Kristiansund, Averøy, and Eide in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The fjord is about 22 kilometres long. The fjord begins at the end of the Kornstadfjord near the municipal center of Eide and runs to the northeast between the island of Averøya and the north shore of the Romsdal peninsula. It then turns to the north around the end of the island of Averøya where it connects to the Bremnesfjord.

Romsdal

Romsdal is the name of a traditional district in the Norwegian county Møre og Romsdal, located between Nordmøre and Sunnmøre. The district of Romsdal comprises Aukra, Fræna, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Rauma, Sandøy, and Vestnes. It is named after the valley of Romsdalen, which covers part of Rauma. The largest town is Molde, which also is the seat of Møre og Romsdal County Municipality. Åndalsnes is a town located near the mouth of the river Rauma in the municipality of Rauma.

Langfjord Tunnel

The Langfjord Tunnel is a proposed subsea road tunnel which would cross Langfjorden between Molde and Rauma in Norway. It may also be built with a branch to the island of Sekken. As part of County Road 64, the tunnel would replace the Åfarnes–Sølsnes Ferry, and allow Romsdal ferry-free access to Eastern Norway, as well as connect Molde and Rauma. If the branch is built, it would replace the Molde–Sekken Ferry, giving the island a fixed link.
