Lauvøya, Nord-Trøndelag

Lauvøya (sometimes Løvøya) is an island in the municipality of Flatanger in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The island sits just off the mainland coast, across from the village of Lauvsnes. The main church for northern Flatanger, Løvøy Church, is located on the island. The 2.6-square-kilometre island has been connected to the mainland by a bridge since 1990. The island has several homes on it and has become an important recreational area for the municipality.

Bjørøya

Bjørøya is an island in the Folda sea, just south of the Namsenfjorden in the municipality of Flatanger in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 3.8-square-kilometre island lies about 5 kilometres east of the island of Villa and about 5 kilometres north of the island of Lauvøya. The island has several large peat bogs as well as a farm. Ellingråsa Lighthouse is located on the northwest part of the island. There are currently no permanent residents of the island.

Namsenfjorden

The Namsenfjorden or Namsfjorden is a fjord in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 35-kilometre long fjord flows along the border between the municipalities of Namsos, Namdalseid, and Flatanger. It runs southeast from the Folda, between the mainland in the south and the island of Otterøya in the north, past the island of Hoddøya, to the Namsen river estuary in the town of Namsos. The banks of the fjord are mostly wooded and not very high.

Statland Church

Statland Church is a parish church in the municipality of Namdalseid in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Statland. The church is part of the Statland parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The wooden church was constructed in 1992 and was consecrated on 10 May 1992 by Bishop Finn Wagle. The church was designed by the architect Reidar Moholdt, and it seats about 140 people.

Vik Church (Flatanger)

Vik Church is a parish church in the municipality of Flatanger in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. As the main church for the municipality, it is also sometimes called Flatanger Church. It is located in the village of Vik. The church is part of the Vik parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The wooden church was completed in 1873 and was consecrated on 25 November 1873 by Pastor Brun, the Dean of Namdalen. On 18 November 1913, lightning struck the church.
