The church is part of the Saltdal parish in the Salten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The red, wooden church was built in 1938, and it seats about 300 people.

The church is part of the Saltdal parish in the Salten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in 1864. The architect Peter Høier Holtermann designed the church which seats about 460 people.
