Vågan Church

Vågan Church (Norwegian: Vågan kirke; sometimes called the Lofoten Cathedral) is a parish church in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kabelvåg on the island of Austvågøya. The church is part of the Vågan parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. Seating about 1200 people, this church is the largest wooden building in Northern Norway.

Henningsvær Bridges

The Henningsvær Bridges are two box girder cantilever bridges made of prestressed concrete. The bridges connect the fishing village and island of Henningsvær to the rest of Vågan municipality on the main island of Austvågøya in Nordland county, Norway. The two bridges are called Engøysundet Bridge and Henningsvær Bridge. Engøysundet Bridge is the northern bridge and it is 194 metres long with a main span of 122 metres .

Henningsvær Church

Henningsvær Church is a parish church in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Henningsvær. The church is part of the Henningsvær parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. Henningsvær Chapel was first built in Henningsvær in 1852. A new church was built in 1974 to replace the old chapel. The current church is built to seat about 250 people.

Austvågøy

Austvågøy or Austvågøya is the northeasternmost of the larger islands in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located between the Vestfjorden and the Norwegian Sea. The island of Vestvågøya lies to the southwest and the large island of Hinnøya to the northeast. Most of the island is part of Vågan municipality, while the northeastern part belongs to Hadsel municipality. The main town on the island is Svolvær. Austvågøya is popular among mountain climbers.

Gimsøystraumen Bridge (Norwegian: Gimsøystraumen bru / Gimsøybrua) is a cantilever road bridge that crosses the Gimsøystraumen strait between the islands of Austvågøya and Gimsøya in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. The concrete bridge is 839 metres long, the main span is 148 metres, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 30 metres . The bridge has 9 spans. Gimsøystraumen Bridge was opened in 1980.
