Skjomen

Skjomen is an fjord arm that branches off from the Ofotfjorden. It is located in the Ofoten district in Northern Norway, located just south of the city of Narvik. The European route E06 highway crosses the Skjomen fjord over the Skjomen Bridge, just south of the mouth of the fjord. A sheltered valley called "Skjomdalen" extends southward from the end of the fjord. The valley is inhabited by approximately 400 people.

Skjomen Bridge

Skjomen Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the Skjomen fjord near the town of Narvik in Nordland county, Norway. The 711-metre bridge has a main span of 525 metres . The maximum clearance to the sea is 35 metres . The bridge has nine spans, and it is part of the European route E6 highway. Skjomen Bridge was opened in 1972.

Håkvik Chapel

Håkvik Chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Narvik in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Håkvik. The chapel is part of the Ankenes parish in the Ofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The brown wooden church was built in 1980 and it seats about 180 people.

HMS Hardy (1936)

HMS Hardy was the flotilla leader for the H-class destroyers, built for the Royal Navy in the mid-1930s. During the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 the ship spent considerable time in Spanish waters, enforcing the arms blockade imposed by Britain and France on both sides of the conflict. Hardy was transferred to Freetown, Sierra Leone, in October 1939 to hunt for German commerce raiders in the South Atlantic with Force K.

Skjomen Church

Skjomen Church is a parish church in the municipality of Narvik in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Elvegård. The church is part of the Skjomen parish in the Ofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1893 and was consecrated on 17 July 1893. The church seats about 240 people.
