Vågan Church

Vågan Church (Norwegian: Vågan kirke; sometimes called the Lofoten Cathedral) is a parish church in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kabelvåg on the island of Austvågøya. The church is part of the Vågan parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. Seating about 1200 people, this church is the largest wooden building in Northern Norway.

Austvågøy

Austvågøy or Austvågøya is the northeasternmost of the larger islands in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located between the Vestfjorden and the Norwegian Sea. The island of Vestvågøya lies to the southwest and the large island of Hinnøya to the northeast. Most of the island is part of Vågan municipality, while the northeastern part belongs to Hadsel municipality. The main town on the island is Svolvær. Austvågøya is popular among mountain climbers.

Svolvær Church

Svolvær Church is a parish church in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the town of Svolvær on the island of Austvågøya. The church is part of the Svolvær parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white concrete church was built in 1934 to serve the town of Svolvær. Svinøy Bridge

Svinøy Bridge is a cantilever road bridge in the town of Svolvær in Nordland county, Norway. The bridge connects the small island of Svinøya with the "main island" of Austvågøya in the middle of the town of Svolvær. Svinøy Bridge is 359 metres long, the two main spans are 24 metres and 22.5 metres long, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 19 metres . The bridge was opened in 1964.

Skrova

Skrova is an island group and village area in the municipality of Vågan in Nordland county, Norway. The Skrova island group is located in the Vestfjorden, south of the islands of Austvågøya, Lille Molla, and Store Molla. It lies about 9 kilometres south of the town of Svolvær. The largest island in the group is Storskrova and the island of Heimskrova is where most of the population is located. Skrova Lighthouse is located in the southwestern part of the island ground.
