Flakstad Church

Flakstad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Flakstad in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Flakstad. The church is part of the Flakstad parish in the Lofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The red, wooden church was built in 1780. The long, low church building is a cog-jointed construction using timbers clad externally with red-painted wooden paneling, as was usual at the end of the eighteenth century. The small-paned windows have white frames.

Flakstadøya

Flakstadøya is an island in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in Flakstad municipality with the Vestfjorden on the east side of the island and the Norwegian Sea on the west side of the island. The island is connected to the neighboring island of Moskenesøya (to the south and west) by the Kåkern Bridge and Fredvang Bridges. It is connected to the island of Vestvågøya (to the northeast) through the undersea Nappstraum Tunnel.

Fredvang Bridges

The Fredvang Bridges are two cantilever bridges that connect the fishing village of Fredvang on Moskenesøya island with the neighboring island of Flakstadøya. The bridges are located in the municipality of Flakstad in Nordland county, Norway. The south bridge is called Kubholmleia Bridge and the north bridge is Røssøystraumen Bridge. Both bridges are 240 metres long and have a main span of 115 metres . The bridges were opened in 1988.

Kåkern Bridge

Kåkern Bridge is a cantilever road bridge that crosses the Kåkernsundet strait between the islands of Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya in the municipality of Flakstad in Nordland county, Norway. The 303-metre long Kåkern Bridge was opened in 2002. The Kåkern Bridge is one of the many bridges that connect the islands of the Lofoten archipelago to each other. The Fredvang Bridges are the only other bridge connection between Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya.
