Storfosna is a populated island in the municipality of Ørland in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located between Kråkvåg and Garten at the mouth of the Trondheimsfjord. The traditional district of Fosen is named after this island. There is a large deer population on the island. The island is connected to Kråkvåg by a causeway and bridge, and is connected to Garten (and the mainland) by a car ferry. The Storfosna Church is located on the island.

Storfosna Church

Storfosna Church is a parish church in the municipality of Ørland in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The church is located on the island of Storfosna. The church was built in 1913 to hold up to 150 people. The architect Johan Kunig designed the building. The church has about 12 scheduled Sunday worship services per year. The church is part of the Ørland parish in the Fosen deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The other church in the parish is the Ørland Church on the mainland.

Kråkvåg

Kråkvåg is a populated group of islands in the municipality of Ørland in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Kråkvågfjorden, just west of the island of Storfosna. The village of Nordbotn on the island of Fjellværsøya lies about 7 kilometres to the west. The 1-square-kilometre island is connected to the island of Storfosna by a 1-kilometre long causeway with a 600-metre long bridge in the middle of it. The island is home to agriculture and fish processing.

Garten is a populated island in the municipality of Ørland in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The island is located in the Trondheimsfjord, just southwest of the mainland. The 1.5-square-kilometre island lies about 2 kilometres southeast of the island of Storfosna. The main population center on the island is also referred to as the village of Garten.

Leksa

Leksa refers to the two islands in the Trondheimsleia. They are located in the municipality of Agdenes in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. Leksa is made up of the smaller north island, Nord-Leksa, and the larger south island, Sør-Leksa. The two islands have been connected by a small causeway since 1986. There are about 30 inhabitants between the two islands with about four farms still in use. Leksa has a store and a post office, and is used as a recreational resort.
