Kvaløy Church

Kvaløy Church is a parish church in the municipality of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kaldfjord on the island of Kvaløya. The church is part of the Kvaløy parish in the Tromsø arch-deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1962 and it seats about 260 people. The building was designed by the architect Gunnar B. Haugen.

Hillesøy Church is a parish church in the municipality of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Brennsholmen area on the western part of the island of Kvaløya. The church is part of the Hillesøy parish in the Tromsø arch-deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1889 and it seats about 450 people. The architect was D. G. Evjen.

Malangen (fjord)

Malangen or Malangsfjorden is a fjord in the municipalities of Balsfjord, Lenvik, Målselv, and Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. The fjord runs southeast between the islands of Senja and Kvaløya and further into the mainland on the border between Balsfjord and Lenvik municipalities. The 60-kilometre long fjord stretches from Hekkingen Lighthouse off the coast of Senja to the village of Nordfjordbotn.

Sommarøy Bridge

Sommarøy Bridge is a cantilever bridge connecting the islands of Kvaløya and Sommarøy in the Hillesøy area of the municipality of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. The prestressed concrete bridge is 522 metres long and the longest span on the bridge is 120 metres . Sommarøy Bridge has traffic lights to prevent accidents on the narrow bridge, although it has been reported that the traffic lights malfunction in windy weather.
