Snake Gorge

Snake Gorge, also called Wadi Bimah, is a gorge or wadi in the Ad Dakhiliyah Region of Oman. It is popular with hikers. It is a fantastic route for jumping off small cliffs into water pools. There are also natural waterslides. However, it is flashflood prone, and in the 1990's a small group of hikers drowned.

Bilad Sayt

Bilad Sayt is a mountain village in Oman. The village is located on the NE slope of the Hajar Mountains near the highest peak in the Sultanate of Oman, Jebel Shams. Bilad Sayt can be reached through Wadi Al Sahtan and Wadi Bani Awf from NE or via Al Hamra from the SW and is only accessible by 4WD vehicles.

Rustaq

Rustaq is a town and wilayah (district) in the Al Batinah Region of northern Oman. The city is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:23|23|27|N|57|25|28|E| | |name= }}. The wilayah of Rustaq is in the Western Hajar, in the south of the Batinah. Rustaq was once the capital of Oman, during the era of Imam Nasir bin Murshid al Ya'arubi.

Al Batinah South Governorate

Al Batinah South Governorate is a governorate of Oman. It was created on 28 October 2011 when Al Batinah Region was split into Al Batinah North Governorate and Al Batinah South Governorate. The affiliated wilayats are Rustaq, Al Awabi, Nakhl, Wadi al Maawil, Barka and Musannah. The centre of the governorate is the Wilayat of Rustaq.

Jebel Akhdar (Oman)

The Jebel Akhdar, Jabal Akhdar or Al Jabal Al Akhdar, is part of the Al Hajar Mountains range in Oman, which extends about 300 km (186 mi) northwest to southeast, between 50–100 km (31-62 mi) inland from the Gulf of Oman coast. It is one of Oman’s most spectacular areas. The highest point, Jabal Shams (the mountain of the sun), is around 3,000 metres (around 9,800 feet) high.
