Sohar is the most developed city in the Sultanate of Oman outside the capital Muscat. It is about 200 kilometres north of Muscat. Sohar was an ancient capital of Oman and many believe it to be the birthplace of Sinbad the Sailor. Having a rich sailing history, Sohar was traditionally a fishing town, but is more recently known as Oman's industrial hub due to the massive developments in the Sohar Industrial Port.

Sohar Regional Sports Complex

Sohar Regional Sports Complex is a multi-use stadium in Sohar, Oman. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Sohar Club. The stadium has a capacity of 19,000 spectators.

Indian School Sohar is an English medium,co- educational for foreigners and is situated in Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman. It was founded in 1982 and is managed by the members of the Indian business community.
