Mina al Fahal

Mina' al Fahal is a coastal area in the northeast of Oman, near to the country's capital, Muscat. It was renamed from Saih al Maleh as the petroleum processing plant was developed. It is a key area for the country's petroleum operations. Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is based at Mina al Fahal, and the Oman Refinery Company (ORC) has an 85,000 b/d oil refinery located here.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Oman)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for maintaining Oman's external relations and the management of its international diplomatic missions. The ministry is controlled by the country's Sultan and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Qaboos bin Said al Said, who also holds the titles of Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Finance. Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, however, holds the post of "Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs" and has done so since 1997.

Shati Al-Qurm

Shatti Al-Qurm is an upscale residential locality situated on the coast of Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. It is bordered by Al-Qurm to the east, the Ministries and Embassies to the west and Madinat Qaboos to the south. It is a very recent development not begun until the mid-80s. The most noticeable sight while driving down the Sultan Qaboos highway used to be the Intercontinental Hotel but today several other significant constructions have been built.
