Balata Camp is a Palestinian refugee camp established in the northern West Bank in 1950, adjacent to the city of Nablus. It is the largest refugee camp in the West Bank. Balata Camp is densely populated with 30,000 residents in an area of 0.25 square kilometers.

Shomron Regional Council

The Shomron Regional Council is an Israeli regional council in the northern West Bank. It provides municipal services for the 30 Israeli settlements in the Samarian hills within its jurisdiction with a total population of about 23,600 people. The council seat is located in Elon Moreh, the offices are located in the Barkan Industrial Park. The municipal area of the Council spreads across 2,800 square kilometers.

Havat Skali

Havat Skali, also known as Point 792, is an Israeli settlement outpost in the West Bank. Located around four kilometres south-east of Elon Moreh, it falls under the jurisdiction of Shomron Regional Council. It was established by Yitzhak Skali in 1999, and is home to around 20 people. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.

Mount Gerizim

Mount Gerizim is one of the two mountains in the immediate vicinity of the West Bank city of Nablus, and forms the southern side of the valley in which Nablus is situated, the northern side being formed by Mount Ebal. The mountain is one of the highest peaks in the West Bank and rises to 2849 feet (881 m) above sea level, 228 feet (69.5 m) shorter than Mount Ebal.

Jacob's Well

Jacob's Well is a deep well hewn of solid rock that has been associated in religious tradition with Jacob for roughly two millennia. It is situated a short distance from the archaeological site of Tell Balata, which is thought to be the site of biblical Shechem. The well currently lies within the complex of an Eastern Orthodox monastery of the same name, in the city of Nablus in the West Bank.
