A magnitude 6.7 (Mw) undersea blind thrust earthquake occurred off the coast of Negros Oriental, Philippines, on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:49 PST, with the epicenter approximately 72 kilometres north of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.

Pescador Island

Pescador Island is an island located in the Tañon Strait, a few kilometres from the western coast of the island of Cebu in the Philippines. It is governed by the municipality of Moalboal, Cebu. It is an island where fishermen spear fish exhaustively the entire reef. All proceeds from sales of the entrance tags and tickets are managed by the Municipality of Moalboal and Moalboal Dive Center Association (MDCA) and government officials and villagers from the Municipality of Moalboal.
