Western Philippines University

The Western Philippines University is a state higher education institution located at Aborlan, Palawan. The University began as the Aborlan Farm Settlement School for the Tagbanuas (an indigenous cultural community of Palawan) in 1910. It became the Aborlan Agricultural High School in 1928, and the Palawan Regional Agricultural School in 1960. It was renamed Palawan National School in 1962, and became the Palawan National Agricultural College.

Palawan

Palawan or officially Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Palawan, is an island province of the Philippines that is located in the MIMAROPA region or Region 4. Its capital is Puerto Princesa City, and it is the largest province in the country in terms of total area of jurisdiction. The islands of Palawan stretch from Mindoro in the northeast to Borneo in the southwest. It lies between the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea.

Palawan (island)

Palawan Island is the largest island of the Palawan Province, Philippines.
