Rudawa (river)

Rudawa is a small river in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland; a tributary of the Vistula river. Rudawa joins Vistula in Kraków near the district of Zwierzyniec. Through the city, the flow of the river is controlled by artificial embankments. Rudawa is also one of the sources of drinking water in Kraków with the water intake located in Mydlniki. Every year, at the mouth of Rudawa River, there's a spring festival organized during Easter holidays.

General Government

The General Government, also sometimes General Governorate was an occupied area of the Second Republic of Poland that was under Nazi German rule during the duration of World War II, from 1939 to early 1945. The Nazi government designated the territory as a separate administrative region of the Third Reich. It included much of central and southern Poland, including the major cities of Warsaw and Kraków.

National Museum, Kraków

The National Museum in Kraków (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie), established in 1879, is the main branch of Poland's National Museum, which has several independent branches with permanent collections around the country. The Museum consists of 21 departments which are divided by art period; 11 galleries, 2 libraries, and 12 conservation workshops. It holds some 780,000 art objects, spanning from classical archeology to modern art, with special focus on Polish painting.
