In 2000 it had a population of 12,425 living in a land area of 1.15 square miles (2.98 km²). Cupey is the largest barrio in the municipality of San Juan, and the third most populous with 36,659 inhabitants according to Census 2000. The territorial land area of Cupey is 7.49 square miles (19.40 km²). San Juan Botanical Garden

The San Juan Botanical Garden, also known as the Botanical Garden of the University of Puerto Rico, is located in the Caribbean city of San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico. This lush 300-acre “urban garden” of native and exotic flora serves as a laboratory for the study, conservation and enrichment of plants, trees, flowers, grasses and many other plants. Seventy-five acres are landscaped and open to the general public as well as researchers.

Río Piedras Pueblo, (officially just "Pueblo"), is a one of eighteen barrios in the municipality of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Rio Piedras Pueblo is what used to be the urban center barrio of the former municipality of Río Piedras until 1951, when the municipality of Rio Piedras was absorbed by the municipality of San Juan. It has a population of 9,391 residing in land area of 0.72 sq. mi. (1.86 km²), resulting in a population density of 12,986.1 residents per square mile (5,013.96 km²).

El Cinco, San Juan, Puerto Rico

El Cinco is a barrio of the municipality of San Juan, Puerto Rico and a former barrio of the dissolved municipality of Rio Piedras. In the year 2000 it had a population of 7,149 and a land area of 1.37 square miles (3.55 km²) resulting in a population density of 5,207.9/sq mi (2,010.78/km2). El Cinco is surrounded by seven barrios: Gobernador Piñero, Monacillo Urbano, Monacillo, Cupey, Sabana Llana Sur, Río Piedras (pueblo), and Hato Rey Sur.
