Adlersky City District

Adlersky City District is the southernmost of four city districts of the city of Sochi in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, lying along the Black Sea coast near the southern Russian border with Abkhazia. Population: 76,534; 69,120; 68,827. The historical center of the district is Adler Microdistrict (А́длер) — formerly classified as a town, but today a microdistrict of Adlersky City District—located at the mouth of the Mzymta River.

Mzymta River

Mzymta is a river in Western Caucasus, Russia, flowing through Krasnodar Krai and the city of Sochi. Mzymta is the largest river in Russia emptying into the Black Sea. Length: 89 kilometres; watershed area: 885 square kilometres . Mzymta springs from Caucasus Major, at a height of 2,980 metres and flows in a narrow valley through lakes Kardyvach and Little Kardyvach. Mzymta forms several waterfalls, the biggest being Izumrudny (Emerald), 15 metres .

Ice Cube Curling Center

The Ice Cube Curling Center (Керлинговый Центр Ледяной куб) is a description of a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Sochi, Russia that is currently in the construction stages. After it is completed, it will host all the curling events at the 2014 Winter Olympics and the wheelchair curling events at the 2014 Winter Paralympics. It will cost $14.0 million to build the venue, including the temporary works for the Olympics and Paralympics. It should open in 2011.

Adler Arena Skating Center

The Adler Arena Skating Center (Адлер-Арена) is a description of a 8,000-seat speed skating oval in the Olympic Park, Sochi, Russia. It is opened in 2012 and looks like an iceberg or ice fault. The center will host the speed skating events at the 2014 Winter Olympics. After the Olympics, it will be turned into a exhibition center. It have cost $32.8 million to build the venue, including the temporary works for the Olympics.

Bolshoy Ice Dome

The Bolshoy Ice Dome is a description of a 12,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Sochi, Russia that is currently in the construction stages. "Bolshoy" literally means "Major", hence the correct English name for the Bolshoi Ice Palace would be the "Major Ice Palace". It is due to be open in 2012. After it is completed, it will host some of the ice hockey events at the 2014 Winter Olympics along with Shayba Arena. The venues will be located 300 m apart.
