Temryuk
Temryuk is a town and the administrative center of Temryuksky District of Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located on the Taman Peninsula on the right bank of the Kuban River not far from its entry into the Temryuk Bay, amid a field of mud volcanoes. The seaport of Temryuk is situated 4 kilometers from the town itself. Population: 38,046; 36,118; 33,163; 26,600 (1975).

Kuban River
The Kuban River is a river in Russia, in the North Caucasus region. It flows mostly through Krasnodar Krai (660 km) but also in the Karachay–Cherkess Republic, Stavropol Krai and the Republic of Adygea. The Kuban, known to Herodotus as Hypanis, flows 870 km north and west from its source near Mount Elbrus in the Caucasus Mountains, eventually reaching Temryuk Bay in the Sea of Azov. It is navigable up to Krasnodar.
