The Chernaya River, originally Mustajogi (in Karelian) also known as the Tchernaya Rechka or Black River, is a small river in Saint Petersburg. It houses mostly small transport planes mostly belonging to 549 AB (549th Air Base), most notably the Antonov An-12, Antonov An-26, and Tupolev Tu-134, along with Mi-6 and Mi-8 helicopters. The 549th Air Base has seen many redesignations since being activated in 1942 as the 6th independent Transport Aviation Unit.

Levashovo Memorial Cemetery
Levashovo Memorial Cemetery (Russian: Левашовское мемориальное кладбище) is a cemetery of victims of Soviet repressions during the Great Purge, at Levashovo, Saint Petersburg. Since the NKVD mass graves were opened to the public in 1989, more than 22 memorials have been erected, most notably the Moloch of Totalitarianism statue by sculptors Nina Galitskaia and Vitali Gambarov. In 2007, a memorial to Italians who died in the Soviet Gulag was added to the site.

It is planned to include the first supertall skyscraper in the city, a scientific and educational complex, sports and leisure facilities, and an outdoor amphitheater. The 463-metre main tower of Lakhta Center, upon its planned completion in 2018, is expected to be the tallest building in Europe.
