Chernaya River (Saint Petersburg)

The Chernaya River, originally Mustajogi (in Karelian) also known as the Tchernaya Rechka or Black River, is a small river in Saint Petersburg. The Chernaya is known for famous duels that took place there, including the 1909 duel between Nikolai Gumilyov and Maximilian Voloshin over the matter of a fictitious poet called Cherubina de Gabriak [in Finnish language: Kaprijakin (Kaprion) Kerubitar], and the fatal duel between poet-playwright Alexander Pushkin and Georges d'Anthès.

Levashovo (air base)

Levashovo (also Levashevo) is an air base located to the southwest of Levashovo, within the northern limits of the federal subject of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It houses mostly small transport planes mostly belonging to 549 AB (549th Air Base), most notably the Antonov An-12, Antonov An-26, and Tupolev Tu-134, along with Mi-6 and Mi-8 helicopters. The 549th Air Base has seen many redesignations since being activated in 1942 as the 6th independent Transport Aviation Unit.

Lakhta-Olgino Municipal Okrug

Lakhta-Olgino Municipal Okrug (Russian: муниципа́льный о́круг Ла́хта-О́льгино) is a municipal okrug of Primorsky District of the federal city of St.  Petersburg, Russia, comprising that city's historical areas of Lakhta and Olgino. It is located just north of the Gulf of Finland. Population: 3,446; 2,901.

Levashovo Memorial Cemetery

Levashovo Memorial Cemetery (Russian: Левашовское мемориальное кладбище) is a cemetery of victims of Soviet repressions during the Great Purge, at Levashovo, Saint Petersburg. Since the NKVD mass graves were opened to the public in 1989, more than 22 memorials have been erected, most notably the Moloch of Totalitarianism statue by sculptors Nina Galitskaia and Vitali Gambarov. In 2007, a memorial to Italians who died in the Soviet Gulag was added to the site.

Lakhta Center

Lakhta Center, previously known as Okhta Center and Gazprom City, is a large mixed-use non-residential construction project in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is planned to include the first supertall skyscraper in the city, a scientific and educational complex, sports and leisure facilities, and an outdoor amphitheater. The 463-metre main tower of Lakhta Center, upon its planned completion in 2018, is expected to be the tallest building in Europe.
