Shakhovskaya is an urban locality and the administrative center of Shakhovskoy District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Izel and the Khovanka Rivers, 154 kilometers from Moscow. Population: 10,728; 10,439; 10,393. Postal code: 143700. Dialing code: +7 49637. Municipally, it is incorporated as Shakhovskaya Urban Settlement. Shakhovskaya was founded in 1901 during the construction of the Moscow-Vindava railroad.

Lotoshino

Lotoshino is an urban locality and the administrative center of Lotoshinsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is the least populous administrative center of a district in Moscow Oblast. Population: 5,558; 5,670; 8,752. Lotoshino was first mentioned in a chronicle in 1478. Under the Russian Empire, it was a village within Volokolamsky Uyezd of Moscow Governorate, but did not even have a status of a volost center.
