Intercession Monastery (Moscow)

Intercession (Pokrovsky) Monastery (Покровский монастырь) is a Russian Orthodox convent situated in Moscow, in the neighbourhood of Taganka. It has been known since 1635 and long remained a poor monastic abode outside the city proper, neighbouring a large cemetery for commoners. It was a filial monastery of the Zaikonospassky Monastery between 1680 and 1731. Much of the monastery is Neoclassical in design and dates from the early 19th century.

Chepelyovo, Moscow Oblast

Chepelyovo is a rural locality in Stremilovskoye Rural Settlement of Chekhovsky District, Moscow Oblast, Russia, situated along the Old Simferopolskoye highway, about 4 kilometers from the town of Chekhov 46 kilometers from Moscow's MKAD. The railroad platform also called Chepelyovo is situated to the southwest of the village.

Melikhovo

Melikhovo was the country estate of the Russian playwright and writer Anton Chekhov, where he lived from March 1892 until August 1899, and where he wrote some of his most famous plays and stories, including The Seagull and Uncle Vanya. It is located about forty miles south of Moscow. It is now a museum.

Vityaz Ice Palace

Vityaz Ice Palace is an indoor sporting arena located in Podolsk, Russia. The capacity of the arena is 5,500 and was built in 2000. The home games of Russkie Vityazi, the junior team of Vityaz Chekhov, are played in the arena. Until 2006 it was the home arena of the HC MVD ice hockey team.
