Diana's Peak

Diana's Peak is the highest point, at 818 metres, on the island of Saint Helena, a British overseas territory in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is of volcanic origin. It was proclaimed a national park in March 1996, the first on the island. It is covered in tree fern thicket. The peak is located at the tripoint where the districts Sandy Bay (southwest), Levelwood (east) and Longwood (north) meet.

Longwood House

Longwood House was the residence of Napoleon Bonaparte, during his exile on the island of Saint Helena, from 10 December 1815 until his death on 5 May 1821. It lies on a windswept plain some 6 km from Jamestown.

Alarm Forest

Alarm Forest is one of the smaller of the eight districts of Saint Helena, in the northern part of the island of Saint Helena, southeast of Jamestown. In 2008 it had a population of 276, compared to a population of 289 in 1998. The district was created between census years 1987 and 1998 from parts of Jamestown and Longwood. There is no settlement by that name, however. The main settlement is Briars Village, with the community centre of the district.

Prosperous Bay Plain

Saint Helena

Saint Helena, named after Saint Helena of Constantinople, is an island of volcanic origin in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, which also includes Ascension Island and the islands of Tristan da Cunha. Saint Helena measures about 16 by 8 kilometres (by mi) and has a population of 4,255 (2008 census). The island was uninhabited when discovered by the Portuguese in 1502.
