Mlomp

Mlomp is a rural community and village in the Ziguinchor Region of Senegal in the Casamance, situated approximately 40 km south-west of Ziguinchor. As of 2000 it had a population of 7,628, rising to around 8,500 in 2006. Most inhabitants are of Diola ethnicity and speaking the Diola language, and many also speak the Ouolof language and French.

Ziguinchor

Ziguinchor (also called Zinguinchor) is the capital of the Ziguinchor Region, and the chief town of the Casamance area of Senegal, lying at the mouth of the Casamance River. It has a population of over 230,000 (2007 estimate). It is the second largest city of Senegal, but largely separated from the north of the country by The Gambia. The city has a tropical savanna climate, with an average annual accumulated rainfall of 1547mm (about 61 inches).

Stade Aline Sitoe Diatta

Stade Aline Sitoe Diatta is a multi-use stadium in Ziguinchor, Senegal. It was named after Aline Sitoe Diatta, a Diola woman regarded by many as the only woman who stood against the colonialist push into Casamance. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as a home ground of Casa Sport. The stadium holds 10,000 people, and was built to host the 1992 African Cup of Nations.
