Victoria, Seychelles
Victoria (sometimes called Port Victoria) is the capital city of the Seychelles and is situated on the north-eastern side of Mahé island, the archipelago's main island. The city was first established as the seat of the British colonial government. In 2009, the population of Greater Victoria (including the suburbs) was 25,000 out of the country's total population of 87,972. Victoria is served by Seychelles International Airport, completed in 1971.

Cerf Island
Cerf Island (1.27 km) lies 4 km off the north coast of Mahé in the Seychelles. Cerf Island measures more than 1.5 kilometres long and almost 1 kilometre wide, it reaches a height of 108 metres . The island is surrounded by a coral reef and the geology is granitic. Cerf Island was named after the French navy frégate “Le Cerf” which arrived at Port Victoria on 1 November 1756.

Moyenne Island
Moyenne Island is a small island in the Ste Anne Marine National Park off the north coast of Mahé, Seychelles. Since the 1970s it has been a flora and fauna reserve. From 1915 until the 1970s, the island was abandoned until its purchase by Brendon Grimshaw, an English newspaper editor. Grimshaw was the only inhabitant of the island until his death in July 2012. Currently the island is a National Park and can be visited as part of organized trips.

Mahé's tallest peak is Morne Seychellois at 905 m, which lies in the Morne Seychellois National Park.

The airport is 11 km southeast of the capital and is accessible by the Victoria-Providence Highway.
