Tuhinj Valley
The Tuhinj Valley is a valley in Slovenia linking the Celje Basin with the Ljubljana Basin in an east-west direction along the courses of the Nevljica and Motnišnica rivers. The western part of the valley was formed by the watershed of the Nevljica, flowing into the Kamnik Bistrica, and the narrower, eastern part by the Motnišnica, a tributary of the Savinja River. Their drainage divide is at the Kozjak Pass at an elevation of 655 m between Cirkuše v Tuhinju and Špitalič.

Geometric Centre of the Republic of Slovenia (Slovene: Geometrično središče Republike Slovenije) (GEOSS) is the geometric centre of the country. It lies in Spodnja Slivna near Vače in the municipality of Litija. Since 4 July 1982, it is marked with a memorial stone, designed by the architect Marjan Božič.

Atrans is the Roman name for Trojane, a town in Central Slovenia. It was on the border between Italy and the province of Noricum. Ancient Romans built a road spanning Aquileia, Emona, Atrans and Celeia. This was a very important road, military, post and market place, and the town was surrounded by a defensive wall. The archaeological remains of Atrans can be still seen.
