Lawson Tama Stadium

Lawson Tama Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Honiara, Solomon Islands. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium is unique as the stand is built into the hillside so there is no official capacity but no more than 20,000 would fit the surrounding grassland. The stadium hosted the 2012 OFC Nations Cup.

Kokumbona

Kokumbona (also Kakambona) is a village on the island of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. It was a Japanese base during World War II and the site of a United States Marine Corps amphibious landing on 19 August 1942. Located on Guadalcanal's north coast, west of Honiara.

USS Atlanta (CL-51)

USS Atlanta (CL-51) of the United States Navy was the lead ship of the Atlanta class of 11 light cruisers. She was the third Navy ship named after the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Designed to provide anti-aircraft protection for US naval task groups, Atlanta served in this capacity in the naval Battles of Midway and the Eastern Solomons. Atlanta was mistakenly sunk by an American vessel in a night surface action on 13 November 1942 during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.

USS Colhoun (DD-85)

USS Colhoun (DD-85/APD-2) was a Wickes-class destroyer in the United States Navy during World War I and as APD-2 in World War II. She was the first Navy ship named for Edmund Colhoun. Colhoun was launched 21 February 1918 by Fore River Shipbuilding Company, Quincy, Massachusetts, sponsored by Miss A. Colhoun, commissioned 13 June 1918, Commander B. B. Wygant in command, and reported to the United States Atlantic Fleet.
