Guadalete

The Guadalete River is a small stream located in the Spanish province of Cádiz, arising in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park at an elevation of about 1000 m, and running for 172 km into the Bay of Cádiz at El Puerto de Santa Maria, south of the city of Cádiz. The name of the River came from the Arabic phrase meaning "River of Forgetfulness"

HMCS Weyburn (K173)

HMCS Weyburn was a Royal Canadian Navy Flower-class corvette which took part in convoy escort duties during World War II. Weyburn was laid down at Port Arthur Shipbuilding Company, Port Arthur on 21 December 1940, launched on 26 July 1941, commissioned 26 November 1941, and was lost after being struck by a mine on 22 February 1943 while east of Gibraltar. While on escort duty in the North Atlantic in 1942, Weyburn was involved in rescuing sailors from ships struck by two separate U-Boats.
