A Barcala or La Barcala is a comarca in the province of A Coruña / La Coruña, Galicia, Spain. Its capital city is the municipality of Negreira. It contains two municipalities and 11,385 inhabitants in an area of 213.5 km². The comarca is located in northwest Spain. Aviaco Flight 118
Aviaco Flight 118 was a Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle operated by Aviaco airlines that crashed in the village of Montrove, Spain on 13 August 1973, while attempting to land at Alvedro Airport in heavy fog. The aircraft crashed into an abandoned farmhouse approximately 2 kilometres from the airport. All 85 persons on board perished in the crash and subsequent fire. One person in the village also died. Flight 118 was a seasonal daily flight from Madrid to A Coruña favoured by tourists.
