Circuito del Jarama

The Circuito del Jarama (Circuit of Jarama), formerly known as Circuito Permanente del Jarama (Permanent circuit of Jarama) is a 3.404 km race course in Madrid, Spain which has hosted nine Formula One Spanish Grand Prix. Designed by John Hugenholtz, the circuit was built by Alessandro Rocci in 1967 north of Madrid in arid scrub land. It had a short straight and most of the course consisted of tight, twisty corners so overtaking was extremely difficult.

Madrid-Torrejón Airport

Madrid-Torrejón Airport is a commercial airport in Spain. It is a joint-use facility between the Spanish Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Works. The civil part is dedicated primarily to executive and private aviation. The airport is located 24 km northeast of Madrid, 5 mi west of Alcalá de Henares, and 1 mi NE of Torrejón de Ardoz.

European Union Satellite Centre

The European Union Satellite Centre (EUSC), commonly known as SATCEN, is an agency of the European Union's (EU) Council of Ministers which gathers information through satellite images. EUSC was set up in 2002 to replace the Western European Union Satellite Centre and thus represents a part of the transfer of functions from the Western European Union (WEU) to the European Union (EU), and more specifically to the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).

Ciudad Real Madrid

The Ciudad Real Madrid (Real Madrid City) is the name given to Real Madrid's training facilities located outside Madrid in Valdebebas near Barajas airport. It replaces the old Ciudad Deportiva, which until 2003 was the training ground of the club. The sale of Ciudad Deportiva, under the auspices of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, led to Real earning approximately € 480 million.

Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium

The Estadio Alfredo di Stéfano is a multi-purpose stadium in Madrid, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve team of Real Madrid. The stadium holds 6,000 people. It is named after former Real footballer Alfredo di Stéfano. The venue is part of the Ciudad Real Madrid, the club's new training facilities located outside Madrid in Valdebebas.
