San Javier is a small town and municipality in the autonomous community and province of Murcia in southeastern Spain. The municipality is situated at the northern end of Murcia's Mediterranean coastline, the Costa Cálida. Sucina is a village in Murcia six to eight kilometres from San Javier and near the airport. New houses and resorts are under construction and will remain so for at least another five years. The centre consists of a church called ‘Nuestra Señora del Rosario’ and has recently experienced some physical renovation, due to its age. On one side of the church is a bank, whilst on the other side, a restaurant.
