Muela de Ares

Muela de Ares is one of the highest mountains of the province of Castellón (Spain), with 1348 meters high. In eastern Spain the term Muela is used to define the mountains with a plane in its top. In the case of the Muela de Ares the area of this plane is roughly 2 sq. kilometers. Near the Muela de Ares, 2 kilometers approximately, there is a twin Muela, called Muela del Vila, with the same characteristics.

Ares del Maestre

Ares del Maestre, also known as Ares del Maestrat or simply Ares, is a small village and municipality in the province of Castelló, Spain. It is situated near the top of the Mola d'Ares mountain, at an altitude of 1,148 m. As a result of migration to the cities in the 1960s and 1970s, Ares del Maestre is sparsely populated today, yet remains a popular tourist destination. Battle of Morella

The Battle of Morella (14 August 1084×88), southwest of Tortosa, was fought between Sancho Ramírez, King of Aragon and Navarre, and Yusuf al-Mu'tamin, King of Zaragoza, while the former was engaged in a campaign of conquest against the latter. All surviving sources for the battle are either later by a generation or literary in character, and they are confused on the chronology and dating of the event.

Morella, Castellón

Morella is an ancient walled city located on a hill-top in the province of Castellón, Valencian Community, Spain. The town is the capital and administrative centre of the comarca of Els Ports, in the historic Maestrat (Maestrazgo) region.
