Avukana Buddha statue

The Avukana statue is a standing statue of the Buddha near Kekirawa in North Central Sri Lanka. The statue, which has a height of more than 40 feet, has been carved out of a large granite rock face during the 5th century. It depicts a variation of the Abhaya mudra, and the closely worn robe is elaborately carved. Constructed during the reign of Dhatusena, it may have been made as a result of a competition between a master and a pupil.

Ambanpola

Ambanpola is a small town in Kurunegala District in Sri Lanka. The village is located between Maho and Galgamuwa towns. It is also a railway station on the Northern Line. There are several public places like temples, police stations, schools are in this town. When traveling from Kurunegala to Anuradhapura via Padeniya this town can be found from 57 km away from Kurunegala town. This road is called "Anuradhapura through Alla" and route number is 57.

Vijithapura

Vijithapura, also known as Vijitha Nagara or Vijithagama, was a fortress–city in ancient Sri Lanka. When Vijaya, the first recorded ruler of the country arrived from India, he brought a large retinue of his followers with him. These followers spread throughout the country, and established settlements. One of his chief followers named Vijitha founded the establishment which was then known as Vijitha Nagara (city of Vijitha) or Vijithagama (village of Vijitha).

A28 highway (Sri Lanka)

The A 28 road is an A-Grade trunk road in Sri Lanka. It connects Anuradhapura with Padeniya. The A 28 passes through Talawa, Tambuttegama, Mahagalkadawala, Galgamuwa, Ambanpola and Daladagama to reach Padeniya.
