National Museum of Colombo

National Museum of Colombo, also known as the Sri Lanka National Museum is one of two museums in Colombo. It is the largest museum in Sri Lanka. Its is maintained by the Department of National Museum of the central government. The museum holds contains a collections of much importance to Sri Lanka such as the regalia of the country, including the throne and crown of the Kandyan monarchs as well as many other exhibits telling the story of ancient Sri Lanka.

Kelaniya

Welikadawatte

Welikadawatte, a middle-class housing estate in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka, was a result of the first co-operative housing scheme in Sri Lanka. In the mid-1950s, Dr. Seneka Bibile, together with Herbert Keuneman, 'Bonnie' Fernando, Anil and Jeanne Moonesinghe and other members of the radical intelligentsia, founded Sri Lanka's first co-operative housing scheme, the Gothatuwa Building Society.

Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte

Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර කෝට්ටේ, Tamil: ஶ்ரீ ஜெயவர்த்தனபுரம் கோட்டை), also known as Kotte කෝට්ටේ / கோட்டை, is a large suburb of the capital Colombo and is the parliament site of Sri Lanka. It is located beyond the Colombo city centre and is often called New Capital Territory. It is the current Capital City of Sri Lanka.

Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu Stadium

Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu Stadium (Sinhala: පාකියසොති සර්වනමූත්තු ක්‍රීඩාංගනය, Tamil: பாக்கியசோதி சரவணமுத்து மைதானம்; aka Colombo Oval or P. Sara) is a multi-purpose stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium holds 15,000 and hosted its first Test match in 1982. It is named after Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu, a former civil servant and first President of the Board of Control for Cricket.
