The University of Moratuwa, on the banks of the Bolgoda Lake in Katubedda, Moratuwa, is the most sought-after technological university in Sri Lanka. Apart from academics including the undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the University of Moratuwa presents social and cultural activities, student services, societies, and sports and recreational activities. The institution was known as Ceylon College of Technology, Katubedda (Katubedda Tech) before gaining university status.

Ratmalana Airport (Currently known as Colombo City Airport), formally known as Colombo Airport, is one of the two international airports serving the city of Colombo, the other is Bandaranaike International Airport. It's also a major domestic airport and military base in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was once Colombo's sole international airport before the construction of Bandaranaike International Airport in the 1960s.

Lotus Grove

Lotus Grove is an enclosed housing complex in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia which is a suburb just south of Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. The Lotus Grove population numbers about 482 adults and children (as of a 2004 census), living in the complex consisting of 148 houses.

Sri Sumangala College

Sri Sumangala College, in Panadura, Sri Lanka, was founded on March 3, 1909 at Rankoth Viharaya in memory of Ven. Weligama Sri Sumangala Thero, who played an important role in Sri Lankan Buddhism. It is one of the oldest schools in the country. It is a national school, i.e. , it is controlled by the central government as opposed to the Provincial Council. It is one of the largest Buddhist school in Sri Lanka, with a student population of 4000 over 13 Grades.

University of Sri Jayewardenepura

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය, Tamil: ஸ்ரீ ஜயவர்தனபுர பல்கலைக்கழகம்) is a university in Sri Lanka. It is in Gangodawila, Nugegoda, near Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, the capital city. It was formed in 1958 out of the Vidyodaya Pirivena, a Buddhist educational centre.
