Mpaka

Mpaka is a town in eastern central Swaziland in western Lubombo District. It lies about 22 kilometres north west of Siteki on the MR3 highway. It is home to Swazi Secrets, a range of natural cosmetics produced from marula and other natural oils by Swazi Indigenous Products, a not for profit Company owned by its rural women suppliers. Mpaka is also a main station for the Swaziland Railways along the North-South route.

Lubombo District

Lubombo is a district of Swaziland, located in the east of the country. It has an area of 5,947 km² and a population of 202,000 (1997). Its administrative center is Siteki. It borders all three other districts: Hhohho to the north, Manzini to the west, and Shiselweni to the south. It is divided into 11 tinkhundla. Geographically, the district is dominated almost entirely by the Lubombo Mountains.

Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area

The Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area was born out of the Peace Park Foundation’s vision to establish a network of transfrontier conservation areas in southern Africa. It straddles the border between South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, southern Mozambique, and Swaziland.
